Nature’s portrait: photographing trees

Trees are a common photographic subject. It is, therefore, necessary to find ways to photograph them effectively, looking for the most interesting lighting situations. It is practically impossible to predict when, on a cloudy day, a ray of sunshine will penetrate through the clouds illuminating a limited number of trees, or to identify the moment when the fog and clouds will clear up, revealing dreamlike images of the vegetation.

One can, however, with watchful waiting, look for the best opportunities to do justice to these splendid subjects.
