What if I want to upload a landscape orientation photo?

No problem! When uploading your landscape orientation photo you select which portion of the photo (portrait orientation) you want to be displayed when the image is viewed on a phone. When a viewer clicks on the image to learn more about it, they are able to see the landscape orientation photo in full, without cropping. See how it works below. We will use this landscape photo as an example:

From your Android app:

To add a new photo, go to Menu -> Select the collection you want to add your photo in -> Press the circle "+" button at the bottom, then select "Add new photo".

After selecting the photo, Excio will take you through 3 "cropping" stages where you can choose what areas of the image you want people to see on their mobile phones as a wallpaper (NB! It won't actually crop your photo). Why 3? Because these are the three most common formats of mobile screen sizes.

When people see your photo in the background of their phones, with a double tap on the photo they can easily see it in full.

From your iPhone app:

To add a new photo, open the Excio app on your iPhone and click on the "Add new" icon at the bottom right corner.

After selecting the photo, Excio will take you through 3 "cropping" stages where you can choose what areas of the image you want people to see on their mobile phones as a widget (NB! It won't actually crop your photo). Why 3? Because these are the three most common formats of mobile screen sizes.

When people see your photo as a widget on their iPhones, with a double tap on the photo they can easily see it in full.

From your Dashboard:

To add a new photo to your collections using the Dashboard, click on the "Photos" tab on the left panel and select the collection you want to add your photo in:

Then select the photo and choose what areas of the image you want people to see on their mobile phones as a wallpaper/widget (NB! It won't actually crop your photo). Why 3? Because these are the three most common formats of mobile screen sizes.

If you want different areas of the photo to be displayed on different screen types (e.g. One view for the mobile phones and a different one for the tablets), please select "Crop separate".
